WELCOME TO
DOUNBY COMMUNITY SCHOOL
In 1976 four small rural schools in the north-west mainland of Orkney were amalgamated into a new school in the village of Dounby. The school serves the parishes of Birsay, Harray and Sandwick.
Due to public demand and limited space within the class areas the building was considerably extended and the new facilities were officially opened in August 2000.
